For property holders
Find the owner before escheatment
Some dormant accounts need more focused research to reach the right person. I help holders locate owners, heirs, and successors and coordinate outreach while the property is still in the holder's custody.
Where I can help
Meaningful accounts with an unresolved owner or payee.
Oil & gas
Royalty suspense, missing owners, deceased owners, heirs, and estates.
Shares & dividends
Lost shareholders, dormant accounts, uncashed dividends, and successor interests.
Insurance & annuities
Beneficiaries, representatives, and unpaid proceeds that need a deeper ownership trail.
Title & escrow
Unresolved balances where a payee cannot be reached or entitlement needs research.
Other property
Dormant bank accounts, refunds & reimbursements, and many other types of property with owners or payees who need to be found.
The work
Research beyond a name and address.
I research deceased owners, estates, heirs, successor entities, and difficult ownership trails. Once the likely recipient is identified, I can help with outreach and coordinate with your team on the records needed to resolve the account.
The work can supplement an existing due-diligence program or provider. We would agree on the account population, scope, and outreach process before beginning.
Experience from the other side
My work began as an heir finder, coordinating claims with the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. Over nearly a decade in unclaimed property recovery, I have helped clients recover millions of dollars while working through estates, heirs, businesses, trusts, securities, and other complicated ownership situations. That experience helps me recognize and resolve ownership issues while an asset is still with the holder.

Discuss an allocation
Let's talk about the accounts that need attention.
If you have unresolved accounts that warrant focused research, I would be glad to discuss a supplemental allocation, a defined account population, or another workable scope. Performance-based terms may be available; we can agree on the arrangement for the work at hand.
